SXM releases first names for 2019 edition

The five-day festival returns to the Caribbean Island of Saint Martin on 13-17 March 2019.

SXM has announced the first wave of acts confirmed for their 2019 edition, with headliners such as Neapolitan techno selector Marco Carola, Parisian trio Apollonia, Rumors boss Guy Gerber and veteran Axel Boman.

The event is set to return to the island of Saint Martin for a five-day stint, where the Caribbean setting will provide idyllic scenery for festival-goers. The festival’s proceedings will unfold across beaches and large-scale nightclubs, with attendees enjoying selections from some of the finest acts across house and techno.

The 2019 edition comes in the wake of Hurricane Irma which caused considerable damage to the island in 2017, leading to the postponement of SXM 2018. In the immediate aftermath of the natural disaster, the festival’s organisers founded the Two Bunch Palms Foundation to provide immediate relief to those affected.

However, due to a sustained effort to re-build the island on the part of locals and multiple organisations, SXM is set to make its return in 2019. The creation of new luxury hotels, casinos and restaurants means that the festival will expand from its previous edition. Early bird five-day passes are valued at $320, with early-bird VIP passes amounting to $575.
