Venues in the UK, North America and Paris will preview Bon Iver’s new album on 7 August.
Bon Iver have unveiled a string of listening parties where fans can preview the new album i,i, ahead of the release on 30 August. On 7 August listening parties will take place in London, Brighton, Paris, and several record stores in North America including Rough Trade in Brooklyn, New York. The parties will offer fans the chance to hear the album early, bag free flexi-discs and win test pressings of the record. See the full list of locations below.
Only six UK venues have been selected for the i,i preview events: Rough Trade East and Rough Trade West in London, Resident in Brighton, Assai Records in Edinburgh and Drift Records in Totnes, Devon. Pre-ordering the album will secure entry to London and Brighton parties, with the record available to collect on the day – three weeks before its official release on 30 August. Those who pre-order the album via Edinburgh’s Assai Records will also able to enter a draw to win the record’s test pressing. Check out the list of listening parties and links to more info below.
i,i, is Bon Iver’s fourth studio album and was announced last week. It features contributions from James Blake, Moses Sumney and The National‘s Aaron and Bryce Dessner, among others. Frontman Justin Vernon describes the new release as “the most adult record, the most complete”.
