Charli XCX and Christine and the Queens share new video for Gone

Charli XCX and Christine and the Queens have dropped a new video for their collaborative track Gone.

The single is taken from Charli XCX’s upcoming album Charli – arriving on 13 September via Atlantic. Gone‘s accompanying video, directed by Colin Solal Cardo, involves a dramatically choreographed routine on the roof of a car with fire, rain and steam going off in the background.

Gone was debuted at Primavera Sound earlier in the year and is out now. Posting on Twitter after the release, Charli XCX said: “This song is about feeling shy and anxious and unstable and trying to break out and free yourself of those feelings.”.

The video’s director Colin Solal Cardo is the mastermind behind other pop-music visuals including the videos for several Christine and the Queens tracks and Robyn’s Ever Again. You can read our interview with Robyn about the process behind Ever Again here.
