Battles announce new album Juice B Crypts, share first single Titanium 2 Step

Battles’ new album Juice B Crypts arrives this October via Warp.

New York art-rockers Battles have announced details of their fourth album. Due for release 18 October via Warp, Juice B Crypts features contributions from Shabazz Palaces, tUnE-yArDs and Yes’ Jon Anderson among others. The group, now consisting of Ian Williams on keys, guitars and electronics and John Strainer on drums, recorded the album in New York with producer Chris Tabron. The album will serve as a follow up to 2015’s La Di Da Di.

Alongside the news, the group have also shared the album’s first single Titanium 2 Step, featuring Sal Principato from no-wave pioneers Liquid Liquid. The track was recorded as a “homage to New York” according to a press release. “We loved making this record in our hometown of New York and cannot be more pleased that Sal from Liquid Liquid is on the track,” Strainer said, “it could not have been more perfect”.
