Gaika Roundhouse news

A full line-up has been confirmed for London’s Roundhouse Rising festival, including GAIKA, Big Zuu and Stealing Sheep.

Created as a launchpad for the next generation of musicians, London’s Roundhouse Rising festival will return in October. Today the festival has shared the complete roster of artists set to perform this year including headliner GAIKA. The South London dancehall experimentalist will be joined on stage by a ten-piece jazz ensemble led by composer Jason Yarde. Other acts taking to the Roundhouse for the festival running 15-29 October, include Æ MAK, West London Grime MC Big Zuu and electro-beats luminaries, Colossal Squid.

Electronic experimental band Stealing Sheep, Weird Milk and Priincess Kemz are also set to play. Swedish urban pop artist and producer Eva-Lina will also perform in collaboration with The F Word, a female collective promoting gender equality in music.

In addition to the billed live acts, the festival will host the launch of a new Rising Sounds album on 16 October. The record features ten rising musicians aged 18-25 who have been paired with a professional producer to record a new track. The launch will see the featured acts showcasing their respective songs live.
