Lana Del Rey officially releases Looking For America and Season Of The Witch

After a teaser earlier in the week, today (9 August) Lana Del Rey has officially released her new Jack Antonoff co-produced track Looking For America, written in response to the recent mass shootings in the US. On Monday the singer previewed the melancholic song explaining that the shootings had affected her “on a cellular level”. The track is out now via Polydor records. Listen now in the player above.

The artist has also shared in full, Season Of The Witch, a cover of Donovan’s 1966 classic. After teasing the song in a trailer, it is now available to stream. The song was recorded for the upcoming Guillermo del Toro-produced movie Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, which is released in US theaters today (9 August) and in UK cinemas on 23 August. Earlier this week (6 August) Lana presented del Toro with his star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles. She hailed his “unique style of storytelling” saying that “being different is to be celebrated.”
