Laurie Anderson’s Big Science to be released on red vinyl

Anderson’s debut album is returning to vinyl for the first time in 30 years.

Nonesuch Records has announced that it will be releasing a new red vinyl edition of Laurie Anderson’s 1982-released debut LP. The new edition is scheduled for release in April and is set to include the remastered original album, which was first released on CD back in 2007 for the record’s 25th anniversary. The album features tracks such as Anderson’s experimental hit O Superman.

Earlier this month, Anderson was celebrated alongside Lou Reed in a new Liz Phair music video for track Hey Lou. The tune is an “ode to the romance of geniuses” and pays tribute to Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson’s storied relationship. Its visual continues on with this theme and stars puppet versions of Reed and Anderson.

Big Science is out 9 April via Nonesuch Records. You can pre-order the album here, or head to the Nonesuch store where pre-orders include an exclusive limited-edition print signed by Anderson.
