serpentwithfeet has released the second single from his forthcoming LP DEACON.
Entitled Same Size Shoe, the track was produced by serpentwithfeet, Batu and Brandon Juhans. On the track, serpentwithfeet said, “I prefer to date and love on Black men. I don’t want to be with anyone who can’t go to my barber or walk a mile in my shoes.” Listen below.
The track follows up from the album’s lead single, Fellowship. DEACON is named after the church figure in Christianity, and is themed around gay, Black love and tenderness in romantic relationships. For the album, serpentwithfeet made the decision to exclude songs about heartbreak.
DEACON is out on 26 March via Secretly Canadian. Read serpentwithfeet’s Aesthetic feature, and check out Batu’s Collections cover.
