Listen to lead single Orinoco Basin now ahead of the album’s release next month.

Artefakt are releasing a new album on Amsterdam-based label Delsin. The Berlin-based Dutch live act and DJ duo – real names Nick Lapien and Robin Koek – will return to Delsin on 10 May with their second album Days Bygone. Tune into lead single Orinoco Basin below.

Days Bygone follows the duo’s 2020-released Icarus EP as well as their debut album Kinship, which landed on the techno imprint back in 2017. Away from Delsin, the pair have been releasing music via their own imprint De Stijl

Artefakt’s forthcoming release has been described as “an album steeped in mystery.” Days Bygone sees the pair focusing once more on the atmospheric and ambient qualities of techno and its adjacent styles. Across the album, the pair divert their gaze away from the dancefloor and look towards more abstract and introspective ideas, with “less emphasis on percussion and more time spent shaping soundworlds with nimble arps and gliding pads.”

Delsin will release Days Bygone on 10 May. Pre-order the album here.
