Crack Magazine – in its free and monthly form – is back!
We’re excited to be back in the vans, distributing up and down the UK today with our first issue since the country went into lockdown last year. And it’s a really good one.
Our cover star is Lewisham producer and multi-instrumentalist cktrl whose stunning 2020 EP Robyn brought his indefinable, experimentalism to a wider audience. He speaks with journalist Stephanie Phillips about Robyn, Jamaica and his personal relationship with Black music.
Elsewhere, you’ll find rising London artist No Home, breakthrough rapper BackRoad Gee, 4AD signee Tkay Maidza and – genunely – so much more.

If you’re a Crack Magazine Supporter, you’ll have had the magazine emailed to you already in digital form with some exclusive extras, including a podcast with Warren Ellis reflecting on the classical composers who have shaped his approach and his recent collaboration with Marianne Faithfull.
If you’re not and you’re keen to get your hands on the new issue then hopefully you’ll find a copy wherever you used to pick it up – we’ll be updating on stockists via our Instagram. If you can’t wait that long then head to our store.
Needless to say, this is a wonderful feeling.
