All proceeds will go towards supporting the trans community.

Friends and collaborators of SOPHIE have launched the art auction God Is Trans in memory of the late producer. It was organised to “honour her radical generosity, artistic vision, and commitment to supporting the trans community”. [sic]

Some of the items listed include the Eckhaus Latta white silk dress SOPHIE modelled in 2018, prints by Renata Raksha – who captured SOPHIE for Crack Magazine’s cover story – and photography prints taken by Zoe Chait.

All proceeds of the auction and sale will go towards the Trans Justice Funding Project, an American organisation that helps to support grassroots trans justice groups across the US.

In April, A.G. Cook posted a tribute to SOPHIE online. “She was laser-focused and exceptionally intelligent, but also sensitive and perceptive,” he wrote. “It didn’t matter whether we were talking about people or relationships or materials or music – she approached every topic with the love, care and intensity of someone who has truly lived.”

Head to the site God Is Trans to check out the auction. You can donate to the Trans Justice Funding Project directly here.
