Yaeji, Honey Dijon and Hot Chip will play the one-day event this November.

Homobloc festival will return to Depot Mayfield this winter for its second outing. The one-day event, which is helmed by the team behind Manchester-based party Homoelectric, debuted in 2019. The inaugural festival featured the likes of Robyn, Romy, Jayda G, Midland and more.

For 2021, Homobloc has locked in a globe-spanning troupe of DJs and musicians. From former Crack Magazine cover stars such as Yaeji, Avalon Emerson, Octo Octa & Eris Drew through to Shanti CelesteSherelle, India Jordan, Hot Chip, Honey Dijon, Saoirse, Peach and Jayda G, it’s set to be a genre-weaving affair that dips between house, techno, garage, boogie and more. Much like the first festival, and prior Homoelectric events, this year’s edition promises to be a “queer bloc party for all.”

The likes of Gideon, Fat Tony and Jodie Harsh are also billed alongside promoters such as Partisan, Fat Out and All Hands on Deck. Homoelectric resident Jamie Bull will also play out during the festival, which takes place on 6 November.

In an Instagram post, organisers state: “After such a tough journey it feels even more poignant to finally announce the Homobloc line-up bringing together artists and performers across our scene and once again re-uniting the clans in that magical space where we can dance til we are free.”

The remaining tickets for Homobloc festival 2021 go on sale today, Thursday 22 July. Homoelectric regulars, plus those who attended the inaugural event, will be offered advanced access to tickets from 9am (BST) this morning. Tickets will go on general sale from 10am (BST). Head to the Homobloc website for tickets and further details.
