We’re proud to share news of a collaboration with BIMM, the British and Irish Institute of Modern Music and the largest music institute of higher education in Europe.
We’ve curated a series of conversations with some of the most influential and inventive voices in contemporary music, taking place at the BIMM Bristol Passage Street Campus.
The series starts next week with a conversation about music supervision for television with Ciara Elwis, the Emmy-winning music supervisor for shows including Sex Education, I May Destroy You, Derry Girls and This Is Going To Hurt. She’ll be talking about how to get the best music on TV. Ciara will be in Bristol for the talk on Tuesday 22 March.
Next up, Pau Cristòful from the booking team of Primavera will be speaking. Pau has been part of Primavera’s booking team since 2017 and has a history of spotlighting emerging experimental and electronic talent before acts break through. Pau will be talking about the planning, creativity and ambition which goes into programming one of the world’s most famous festivals. We’ll welcome Pau on Tuesday 29 March.
We’ll then welcome manager, DJ, label-boss and general future-thinker Elijah. As the co-founder of Butterz, Elijah has been instrumental in crafting the rise of artists like Flava D, Royal T and DJ Q. Beyond the label, his work with Youth Music and his iconic yellow insights on social media have established him as an important and imaginative voice in British independent music. Elijah’s talk takes place on Tuesday 5 April.
Conversations will be moderated by journalists and attendees will have a chance to ask questions of their own.
