Melt announces first acts for 2023 edition

Joy Orbison, TSHA, beabadoobee and more are set to play the German festival next June.

Melt has announced the first acts for its 2023 edition, taking place from June 8-11 2023.

For the 26th edition of the German festival, Daphni, Joy Orbison, Nia Archives, Skin on Skin, Erika de Casier and more have all been confirmed, Melt continuing its pairing of exclusive DJ sets with live performances.

The festival has also announced a number of takeovers, with entire stages curated by a number of acts. Club Heart Broken, Multisex, Femme Bass Mafia, Voxnox, and more have all been confirmed for Melt 2023.

Speaking about the upcoming festival, Florian Czok, festival director and booking agent said: “With our first line-up announcement, we want to show the complete range and diversity of MELT. Whether it’s the electronic live act, German newcomers of different genres, techno and house legends, Gen Z icons or even international rising stars: They all have their rightful place in the MELT cosmos. We are very pleased that we can give a first taste of the more than 150 acts of MELT 2023 today.”

The festival also invites visitors to experience the MELT Forest and roller skating rink, as the festival diversifies its programme to encapsulate a number of experiences separately to the festival.

In our review of Melt 2022, we said: “‘A New World’ was a phrase used by Melt in the preceding months leading up to the festival, and this promise is certainly delivered upon throughout… it’s the festival’s spirit of inclusion and creative freedom that makes it such a memorable experience.”

Tickets start at €169.95, with both camping and glamping options available. You can find the full lineup and tickets for Melt 2023 here – and read our full review of 2022’s festival here. Melt has also curated a playlist spotlighting artists set to play at Melt 2023 that can be heard here.
