Flow Festival confirms FKA twigs, Caroline Polachek and Shygirl for 2023

The Helsinki festival has announced the first names for its next edition.

Flow Festival returns from 11-13 August 2023. The Finnish event has confirmed FKA twigs – who makes her long-awaited return having last played the festival in 2016. There’s also Caroline Polachek, hot off the back of the announcement of her new record Desire, I Want to Turn Into You which is set for release on Valentine’s Day.

The forthcoming edition will also host a performance from art-pop pioneers DEVO as part of the band’s farewell tour. Jockstrap and Shygirl – both of whose albums (I Love You Jennifer B and Nymph respectively) feature in our Best Albums of 2022 list – have also been announced for Flow Festival. Elsewhere, the likes of 070 Shake, Suede, Amy and The Sniffers, Ege Zulu and Yona, who will perform with the Tapiola Sinfonetta.

This summer saw Flow Festival return for its first edition in almost three years. The 2022 outing saw performances from the likes of Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Fontaines D.C., Burna Boy, Anz, Sherelle, Bikini Kill and Alfa Mist.
