Mumdance is back with new music.

The UK producer has today (5 December) released a new two-tracker, MD001, after teasing the coming music in an Instagram post last week.

Released on MD Dubs – which Mumdance describes as “a new, no frills imprint” for his own productions – MD001 is set to be followed by a number of two-track EPs from the artist over the course of 2023. With illustration from Sholto Blissett accompanying the EP, it is the first new release from Mumdance since he stepped away from music in 2019 to focus on addiction recovery.

Earlier this year, Mumdance shared an extensive selection of work with fans via a digital collection housed within his website. The archive contained a number of unreleased tracks and mixes – over 300 hours worth. He accompanied the release of the archive with a statement discussing his departure from dance music.

In February 2019, Adams collaborated with long-time production partner Logos – with whom he ran the underground label and event series Different Circles – on a track entitled Zoned In for the latter’s album, Imperial Flood.

The year prior, in 2018, he released a mix project and compilation entitled Shared Meanings. It featured contributions from the likes of Nkisi, Space Afrika, Chevel, ZULI and JK Flesh.
