The event takes place in Milan on 20 January.

Ortigia Sound System is teaming up with London-based label AD93 – run by Nic Tasker – for a showcase next week. AD93-affiliated artists set to play the event include Coby Sey, who forms part of CURL with Brother May and Mica Levi and released his debut solo album Conduit last September. There’s also Belgian artist SKY H1 and London-based experimental artist Lauren Duffus.

The showcase will also feature a back-to-back from AD93 founder Tasker and Anunaku – the moniker of Italian DJ and producer Guglielmo Barzacchini. The event will be held at District 272 (Ex Cinema Aramis) in Milan on 20 January. Tickets are on sale now.

Ortigia Sound System Festival returns to Sicily this summer from 26-30 July. Details on line-up and tickets to follow later this month.

For the 2022 edition of the festival, we ran a trio of live mixes from the event. This includes a recording of MC Yallah and Debmaster’s incendiary set, a mix of Kelman Duran’s high-energy DJ set – centred on body-moving styles including baile funk, reggaeton, footwork and Jersey club – and two hours of dark room sounds, hypnotic chuggers and more energetic selections from Italian DJ and producer Lamusa II.

Last year we also hosted a stage at the Sicilian festival, with the likes of Anthony Naples b2b DJ Python, Kelly Lee Owens, Yu Su and more playing on the Crack Magazine stage.

Listen back to a live mix from Kelman Duran – who is one third of Sangre Nueva with DJ Python and Florentino – below.
