The former Crack Magazine cover star unveiled the title and cover art for the upcoming release today (11 January).

Yaeji has teased her long-awaited debut album With a Hammer, revealing the album’s artwork alongside its title. It’s the first music from DJ, producer, vocalist and visual artist since 2021’s Year to Year/21 EP.

With a Hammer lands in April this year via XL Recordings. We spoke to Yaeji back in 2020 about her process and feelings surrounding her meteoric rise, with hit Raingurl. “[The music] sounds better [and] cleaner than before, It’s easier for me to make stuff now, and therefore easier for me to communicate an idea I have right away,” she told us at the time. “That’s really the biggest change – feeling comfortable.”

Since the release of Yaeji’s debut EP, she has worked on a remix of Don’t Start Now for Dua Lipa, sampled the classic video game PAC-MAN, and worked with Charli XCX on 2019 album, Charli – alongside other solo projects.
