It’ll be the first full iteration of the festival since 2019.

After teasing its imminent return earlier this year, Bristol’s Simple Things Festival has today (29 March) confirmed the date for its comeback edition, slated to take place on 24 February 2024. The multi-venue day and night event – organised by Crack Magazine, Team Love and founder Matt Aitken – will mark its return as well as its 10th anniversary on the day, which will see acts play out across the city at spaces such as Bristol Beacon. The newly-reopened music and performance venue will once again serve as a central hub for the festival.

A ticket pre-sale for Simple Things 2024 is taking place from 10am (BST) on Friday, 31 March until 14 April, with a general sale taking place later this year to coincide with a festival line-up announcement. Head to the Simple Things website to sign-up for pre-sale tickets and find out more about forthcoming Simple Things events.

The last edition of Simple Things took place in 2019 with the likes of Holly Herndon, Jayda G, the late Andrew Weatherall, Avalon Emerson, Big Joanie and William Basinksi, Aïsha Devi in attendance. The 2019 edition also saw a Hyperdub takeover alongside the world premiere of William Basinski, Evelina Domnitch and Dmitry Gelfand’s audiovisual piece, 1000 Peacock Feathers In Foaming Acid, at Bristol’s IMAX cinema.

In the time since the last festival, Simple Things has hosted a slew of standalone shows across Bristol, with a forthcoming event with former Crack Magazine cover star Helena Hauff lined up for 7 April at Strange Brew. Check out an archive Crack Mix from the DJ and producer below.
