An accompanying film of the Swedish musician’s performance at Semibreve 2022 will premiere on Youtube this evening (21 April).

Malcolm Pardon – who is also one half of Roll The Dice with Peder Mannerfelt – has released a new live EP. The tracks on The New Black are taken from his performance at Capela Imaculada do Seminário Menor in Braga, Portugal where Semibreve festival takes place. Last autumn, Pardon played material from his most recent solo album Hello Death, performing in the 20th century Catholic church for Semibreve 2022.

Speaking on the performance, Pardon said: “The concert at Capela Imaculada do Seminário Menor was a world premiere of me performing songs from my album Hello Death at Semibreve festival. The location could not have been better and fortunately it was also recorded and filmed by Semibreve. I am now happy to share this with the world by releasing a Live EP and a concert film to capture the full performance”.

Pardon’s live EP is available both digitally and on casette. Pre-order the release here. A film of the concert will premiere on Semibreve’s Youtube channel this evening.

Alongside Pardon’s concert, Semibreve 2022 also featured performances from the likes of KMRU, Jana Rush and Alva Noto as well as a Príncipe Discos night featuring sets from DJ Marfox, Xexa and DJ Kolt. Read our review of Semibreve 2022.
