12 of the accompanying soundtracks to the studio’s iconic films, including Spirited Away and My Neighbour Totoro, will be reissued on coloured vinyl.
Studio Ghibli is re-releasing its soundtrack collection on coloured vinyl. Released via Studio Ghibli Records, the reissue series features 12 records in 12 different colours. As Hypebeast reports, the collection is currently available for pre-order on Amazon, with HMV Japan, and UK-based retailer Chip Freq stocking limited runs of the records. Earlier this year, Japanese film and classical composer Joe Hisaishi announced the release of A Symphonic Celebration – which features symphonic arrangements of his original work soundtracking Studio Ghibli films. It will be released on on 30 June via Deutsche Grammophon. The next Studio Ghibli movie, Hayao Miyazaki’s How Do You Live?, is set to debut in Japan on 14 July.
