OUT.FEST confirms new names for 2023 edition

Twelve more artists have been added to the programme for the Portuguese festival, which takes place in Barreiro from 4-7 October.

Joining the OUT.FEST line-up there’s DJ Marcelle – who is set to close the festival – Brooklyn’s black metal experimentalists Liturgy, Musica Elettronica Viva co-founder Alvin Curran, and Scotch Rolex and Shackleton are slated to present their latest collaboration. Other new additions include NZE NZE, who are part of the 2023/2024 SHAPE+ cohort, Dali Muru & The Polyphonic Swarm, Nok Cultural Ensemble and a solo performance from Carlos ‘Zíngaro’.

Elsewhere, OUT.FEST has commissioned a collaboration between Clothilde and João Silva and Tiago Sousa will perform on a 300-year old organ in Igreja de Nossa Senhora do Rosário. Porto’s DJ Lynce and Joana Da Sá also join the bill.

These latest additions join previously announced artists such as Voice Actor, LustSickPuppy, Horse Lords, Dawuna and Širom. OUT.FEST forms part of SHAPE+ and this year’s line-up also includes current SHAPE+ artists Cucina Povera and Rita Silva.
