The Bristol festival returns for its 10th edition in February 2024.

Fever Ray has been confirmed for a closing concert at next year’s Simple Things Festival. Returning in February for the first time since 2019, the upcoming festival will host the Radical Romantics artist at Bristol Beacon on 29 February.

The full line-up for the event is yet to be announced. Simple Things – organised by Crack Magazine, Team Love and founder Matt Aitken – will take over various venues across Bristol for a multi-day programme spanning music, art and technology. The Fever Ray show will kick off the former cover star’s newly announced UK tour. Earlier this year, we reviewed their first album since 2017, Radical Romantics, describing it as a record “suffused with all the sonic hallmarks we’ve come to expect from Fever Ray”.

Away from the flagship festival, Simple Thing is hosting series of standalone Simple Things shows in the city across the autumn and winter months. Loraine James, fresh from the release of her latest album, Gentle Confrontation, is among the artists locked for shows, along with Moin, Nihiloxica and more.

Head to the Simple Things website for future festival updates and standalone show information. General tickets for the Fever Ray show and the festival’s day-and-night programme go on sale this Friday (29 September) at 10am (BST). Fever Ray has also just shared an Avalon Emerson remix of album track Carbon Dioxide. Check it out below.
