Mutek Festival announces first names for 25th anniversary edition

The Montréal electronic music and digital arts festival will celebrate its milestone birthday event from 20-25 August.

Mutek Festival has shared the first wave of names for its forthcoming edition – which will mark its 25th anniversary. Bored Lord, Tati Au Miel, Ela Minus, Evian Christ are amongst the initial artists locked in with collaborative A/V performances from Aïsha Devi and }§{, Amnesia Scanner and Freeka Tet and Zoë McPherson and Alessandra Leonne confirmed as well.

The programme announced so far also includes an audiovisual set from Taiwanese artists Meuko! Meuko! and NONEYE as well as the likes of Factory Floor, Octo Octa, aya, Colin Stetson, Kode9, Malibu, Waajeed and Marie Davidson.

Alongside the festival programme, Mutek Forum will celebrate its 10th edition. For this, it will bring together artists, researchers, technology professionals, digital experts, and innovators for four days of workshops, film screenings, masterclasses and more.
