Manchester’s Aviva Studios has unveiled the full programme for its upcoming events season, spanning concerts, audiovisual art experiences and music conventions.
Run by Factory International, shows have been announced until December, with the music programme being kicked off by Tuareg desert blues pioneers Tinariwen on 26 August. Other highlights include Arooj Aftab in light of her latest album Night Reign, and Crack Magazine’s June cover stars Fontaines D.C., who will play three dates between 29 November and 1 December.
There is also an exciting series of immersive art experiences, including Marshmallow Laser Feast’s Sweet Dreams, which invites viewers into the world of fast food production. In November, American avant-garde artist Laurie Anderson will bring her audiovisual theatrical show ARK to Manchester.
Aviva Studios will also host the 2024 WOMEX Worldwide Music Expo, a travelling convention that moves to a different European city each year, as well as the Beyond The Music Conference, which discusses the future of music and
