The Moroccan festival has announced the full event programme in preparation for its last dance before a two-year hiatus
Oasis Festival has unveiled the full line-up for its eighth edition, set to take place from 6-8 September. Following two years on the road with ‘Oasis: Into the Wild’, the festival will return this year to one of its best-loved locations The Source in Marrakech, backdropped by the idyllic views of the Atlas Mountains.
Marking the end of an era as the last edition of Oasis in its current format, this year’s event features a mix of international and regional talents. Notable highlights include UK Garage sensation Interplanetary Criminal, deep-digging Dutch DJ Interstellar Funk, and the emotionally charged house soundscapes of Salute. The line-up also includes former Crack cover star Joy Orbison, Jyoty, Haai, Sama’ Abdulhadi, and TSHA.
Foundational pillars of the North African scene will be showcased at the festival, including names such as Moroccan selector whoiskenza and Arabic hip-hop champion and label head Sotusura, a multihyphenate instrumental in developing the regional scene with his own cultural functions and radio shows.
Oasis has been a revered mainstay in North Africa’s festival circuit since its inception in 2015, drawing global audiences with its distinctive combination of progressive electronic music and Moroccan culture. Festival founder and director Marjana Jaidi outlines the reason behind the hiatus, stating:
“While we still deeply love and believe in what we’re doing, we see a greater opportunity to steer Morocco’s cultural landscape in an exciting new direction. As such, we’ve decided to take a break in 2025 to pursue this path. Oasis Festival’s essence will remain a cohesive thread through our future projects, but 2024 will be the last edition of Oasis, as you know it today.”
