A note in the video’s final credits announced that unworn pieces will go to global charity I Support The Girls.
10,000 pieces of underwear featured in the music video for Charli xcx and Billie Eilish’s collaborative remix of Guess will be donated to domestic violence survivors via charity I Support The Girls.
Released yesterday evening (1 August), the Aidan Zamiri directed video opens with Charli xcx in an empty room – dressed in an Aphex Twin t-shirt – singing: “You want to guess the colour of my underwear/ You wanna know what I got going on down there.”
As the video progresses, the room fills with people and undergarments, and when Eilish arrives in a tractor mid-way through, it cuts outside where there’s bras and underwear falling from the sky, strewn across the street, while one shot features the pair running up then sitting on a huge pile of it.
The destination of the underwear is revealed in one of the video’s final credit lines, which reads: “All unworn undergarments will be donated to survivors of domestic violence through I Support The Girls.”
I Support The Girls is a charity that distributes menstrual hygiene products, bras and underwear to women and folk who are experiencing homelessness, impoverishment, cancer, domestic violence, natural disaster, war and other forms of distress across the world. In a statement on Instagram, the charity wrote: “Wear ’em, post ‘em, go donate ‘em (And that’s exactly what happened. 10,000 pairs from [Charli] is being donated to ISTG).”

The original version of Guess featured on Charli xcx’s album brat. The track was produced by The Dare, who features in the video’s background playing a keyboard.
