The dance festival returns this weekend, bringing a five-stage programme to Belgium’s Grimbergen
Set in mysterious woods surrounding the iconic Humbeek Castle, Voodoo Village returns for its ninth edition this weekend between the 7-8 September with a line-up taking place across five stages.
Artists including Blond:ish, Artbat, ARGY and Jamie Jones will play main stage The Yard, with Enrico Sangiuliano, Charlie Sparks, Indira Paganotto, I Hate Models and Adiel taking over The Shelter. The Forest will make space for house, soul and disco, with the likes of Kitty Amor, DJ Tennis and Pawsa on the bill, and Black Coffee set to cap off the activities with a closing set on Sunday night.
Elsewhere, live stage The Oracle will welcome Parra For Cuva and Bora Uzer, while the upgraded The Observatory will host trance and techno sounds from Marlon Hoffstad b2b Malugi, DJ Boring, Partiboi69 and more. Local talent will also be spotlighted throughout, from festival regular Nico Morano to Antwerp hard techno DJ NOVAH.
In a first for Belgian music festivals, Voodoo Village has introduced a ‘no phones’ policy at The Oracle stage this year. With a focus on wellbeing and a commitment to providing a safe space for music lovers, the festival also prides itself on creating an immersive experience for attendees. Restricting camera phones is one way of achieving this.
Festival organiser Maxim Dekegel comments: “The Oracle should be a unique experience shared with the Voodoo Village community. Memorable experiences are created by being fully in the moment, with no distractions.”
