Dixon, Pa Salieu, Sega Bodega, Actress b2b Skee Mask & more join the programme.
Sónar 2025 has added 51 names to its line-up, bringing the total number of artists performing to 117 across Sónar by Day and Sónar by Night’s 10 stages. The festival will take place from 12-14 June in Barcelona, while this year’s Sónar Week runs from the 10-15 June.
New additions include Pa Salieu, Dixon, Sega Bodega, Actress b2b Skee Mask, Josh Caffé and Herbert & Momoko. The festival will also present a tribute to the late Ryuichi Sakamoto by close collaborators Alva Noto and Fennez with the new show Continuum.
Previously announced artists include Crack Magazine cover stars Arca and Helena Hauff.
As part of Sónar+D, this year for the third time, the AI & Music powered by S+T+ARTS programme will reaffirm the festival’s commitment to supporting artists’ projects and proposals, as well as research focused on the links between AI and music creation. Ville Haimala – one half of the duo Amnesia Scanner – will join the line-up to present his new solo album Hyporeal, as well as patten, R-010 and Venerandi.
Sónar will also be part of the EU co-founded cooperative project TIMES (The Independent Movement for the Electronic Scenes). The initiative will bring together 10 European festivals to co-curate a series of shows and produce original new performances combining music and visuals, seeing Sónar collaborate with Atonal, Unsound, Insomnia, Terraforma and Semibreve to present six co-curations and two artistic residencies. This year’s artistic residencies see two A/V shows – created by Saint Abdullah, Eomac & Rebecca Salvadori and Chris Watson & Izabela Dłużyk — as well as an experimental project from Heith, James K, and Günseli Yalcinkaya.
