Jeff Mills, Ivan Smagghe, Manfredas & more join Neopop line-up

The festival returns to Viana do Castelo, Portugal, from 7-9 August.

Neopop is back in Portugal’s vibrant Viana do Castelo this summer, with a packed three-day programme that brings together dance music legends and rising innovators.

Today (3 April), the festival has announced new names for each of the three days. Thursday’s programme sees new additions including Dresden – a partnership Ivan Smagghe and Manfredas – and I Hate Models, while minimal techno pioneer Richie Hawtin joins Friday’s line-up alongside Steffi, KlangKuenstler, Pan-Pot and more.

Saturday once again brings pioneers and fresh talent onto the same line-up, adding the likes of Jeff Mills, Dystopian founder Rødhåd, and Daria Kolosova b2b IMOGEN.

Other artists playing Neopop include Aurora Halal, Goldie, Ben Klock, Sama’ Abdulhadi and Héctor Oaks.

This year’s theme will be Interplanetary Dance Music – an aesthetic and visual concept by StuStudio Bruto in collaboration with Serafim Mendes and Fernão Gonçalves (3D) and Dust Devices (Sound Design). Drawing parallels between the cosmos and our digital universe, always in constant transformation, it’s designed to reflect the expansive vision and energy of the festival itself.
