Taking place from 23-24 August, the Bristol festival unveils its full line-up, including a brand new dance tent.
Returning to Bristol’s Clifton Downs for a weekend of DJs, live music, and thought-provoking discussions, Forwards Festival unveils its complete line-up along with The Arches – a new dance tent.
Joining a bill that includes Ezra Collective, Barry Can’t Swim, and Orbital, Saturday’s new additions include genre-blurring British musician Nilüfer Yanya and Berlin-based indie-pop artist Anna Erhard.
Joining former Crack Magazine cover star Jorja Smith, rap superstar-in-waiting Doechii and indie favourites The Last Dinner Party are experimental rock outfit Squid, who are set to make their Forwards debut on Sunday, and boundary-pushing rapper Pa Salieu.
The festival’s new dance tent, The Arches, will feature performances throughout the weekend, including DJ sets from Annie Mac, Jamz Supernova, Helena Star, Feel the Real, and Spicyivy on the Saturday. Sunday’s session hosts sets from LTJ Bukem, Rea, Miss Mash, Smith & Mighty Soundsystem featuring special guests, and former Crack Magazine cover star Shy One.
Forwards has also introduced late-night events on the INFORMATION stage, which will host debate and discussion over the course of the festival. Among the names appearing are Mould, Alamay & Omar Cassius, Ava Zarate, and Laura Dia on the Saturday, and Red, Waldos Gift, Dizraeli & Joy Machine, and Guy on the Sunday.
