DJ Python, Shackleton, Abdullah Miniawy and more are set to play this year’s edition of En Masse, running from 9–12 October across multiple venues in Bristol.

Batu’s En Masse returns to Bristol this autumn, bringing together local talent and international artists for four days of experimentation, collaboration, and collective discovery.

For the festival’s fifth edition, the line-up includes singular live experiences and forward-thinking collaborations, while introducing a new Community Hub and an expanded programme with an extra day.

The music programme begins on 9 October with an opening night at Document, featuring patient, sculptural soundscapes from Mary Hurrell, an immersive hybrid performance from DJ Python, the Bristol debut of Abdullah Miniawy, and Coby Sey & Continue’s expansive live set.

The remainder of the festival moves fluidly between intimate spaces like The Island, The Love Inn, Strange Brew, and Trinity Centre. Highlights include sets from Amber b2b Laura Mackie, Farrell b2b Mackenzie, and Saskia b2b Jurango, as well as a debut collaboration between Batu and Dominica-born vocalist and producer Tikiman. Live performances will also come from Kakuhan, Loto Retina, Shackleton, and Twelfth House.

Funded by Arts Council England, the Community & Arts Programme opens on 7 October with free workshops, talks, and participatory sessions. Highlights include a technical workshop with Shackleton at Elevator Sound, an audio-visual installation by Avon Terror Corps’ Dali de Saint Paul & Clíona Ní Laoi at St John’s Crypt, and a special discussion with ex.sses and Õkami (Sisu Crew) exploring how dance music communities can mobilise in solidarity with Palestine.

Festival Passes are on sale now at the festival’s website and via Headfirst, granting access to core programming from 9–12 October (Thursday–Saturday). Passes are also the only way to access the limited-capacity Saturday After Party. Individual tickets are also available here.
