The festival returns from 27-30 August with Bob Vylan, Goat, Emma-Jean Thackray, Paranoid London and more.
With one month to go until Shambala Festival, here’s a reminder of what’s in store at Kelmarsh Hall and Gardens this August.
Among the headliners this year are punk-grime duo Bob Vylan alongside psychedelic rock legends Goat. They’ll be joined by Hollie Cook, Orchestra Baobab, BCUC, Emma-Jean Thackray, Luke Vibert and Om Unit, plus four exclusive sessions from the CERN Festival Programme bringing cutting-edge science and technology to the weekend.
Headliners Paranoid London will also bring their new Two Seas venture to the festival – a project made in collaboration with Stihia Festival and In Place of War‘s EarthSonic that combines electronic music with recordings captured in Finland’s Bothnian Bay and Uzbekistan’s Aral Sea to explore the impact of climate change through sound.
Beyond the music, the programme includes electronic late-nights in the Enchanted Woods, talks from Green Party leader Zack Polanski and Led By Donkeys, a Decolonise Festival takeover, and a variety of activities and performances uniquely Shambala, including the Shambolympics, Drag Syndrome and the Vespa Cougourdon Ourchestra. New for this year is the Spiegeltent, providing a stage for cabaret and circus performances.
