The Canadian artist has shared a new demo online, entitled Pretty Dark.
It looks like there’s a holdup with Grimes’ new album, with Claire Boucher taking to Twitter to state that it’s “2 ambitious” and “taking too long”. However, the artist will be sharing demos “for the next few months” while we wait for her next full-length.
Yesterday (13 March), Boucher shared her first demo Pretty Dark, taken from a “weird AR musical”. Listen to it via the player above.

It was first revealed that Grimes was working on the follow-up to Art Angels in 2016. In August 2017, she revealed that the new album would be comprised of “sonic unexplored landscapes”. Whilst it was expected to land last year, the release never materialised though Grimes did share a tracklist of working song titles back in May.
Since, she’s collaborated with K-pop group Loona and Poppy. A release date for her next LP is yet to be confirmed.
