Despacio returns.
James Murphy and 2ManyDJs are bringing Despacio back to New York on 2-4 April. Three seven-hour sessions will be held at the Knockdown Center, marking the return of the 50,000 watt sound system after its two-year hiatus.
Despacio has been described as a “one-of-a-kind sound system designed to deliver absolutely optimum audio to the dance floor, showcasing classic records in entirely new dimensions.” It features seven customised McIntosh amplifiers that stand at 11 feet tall. A “cartoonishly large disco ball” will illuminate the venue from above.
After spending three days in New York, Despacio will head to London’s Roundhouse on 21-22 May.
Tickets for the Knockdown Center are on sale from 10am (EST).
