In Photos: MOGA Festival 2025
Across five days, MOGA Festival transformed the Moroccan coastal city of Essaouira into a sanctuary for electronic exploration.
Every October, Essaouira becomes the home of MOGA Festival. The Moroccan port city, usually defined by its Atlantic surf and UNESCO World Heritage Medina, becomes a meeting point for the global electronic community. For 2025, MOGA carried the same effortless balance that has made it one of North Africa’s most distinct and intimate festivals.
The week began with MOGA OFF, a free programme of daytime parties, workshops and impromptu sets scattered through Essaouira’s medina, rooftops and beaches. Taking place across the first two days of the festival, the programme set the tone with over 70 artists, local and global, performing in historic spaces throughout the city.
As the weekend arrived, focus shifted to MOGA IN, the ticketed heart of the festival located in the Sofitel Essaouira Mogador Golf & Spa – an open-air space where palm trees framed stages and international and local artists shaped the soundscape. Highlights include live performances from Adassiya, Kosh, Neyl, and Nadrums, as well as sets from Bonobo, Folamour, DJ Tennis, Rita Soko, Saoirse, DJ Sweet6teen and Giu Nunez.
