In Photos: Up Ya Archives at The Warehouse Project
Returning for its third – and biggest – edition yet at The Warehouse Project, Nia Archives’ club series returned to the Manchester venue last week for a five-stage, day-to-night takeover.
Curated by Nia Archives, the club series delivered its most expansive line-up to date, championing the best in jungle, garage and bass culture alongside the city’s underground scene.
Archives herself brought her signature high-energy set to the main room, joined by dubstep legends Skream & Benga, as well as Girls Don’t Sync, 4am Kru, Chechnya, Eliza Rose b2b Ahahadream and more.
Across the venue, Dr Dubplate Presents: 5 Years of EC2A took over Concourse with sets from Anz, Bakey b2b Mia Koden, Dr Dubplate, Diffrent and Yemz. Manchester bass stalwarts Hit & Run helmed the Archive room, welcoming Mala, Clipz, Sicaria, Samurai Breaks b2b Mandidextrous, Bianca Oblivion, Bambii and Sam Binga.
Elsewhere, Brighter Days Family brought a spectrum of sounds to the legendary Star & Garter alongside Sir Spyro b2b Maximum, while rave collective Sexy Lady Massive shook the Plant Room with a run of b2b sets from Asian Brat b2b Hendy, Betsy Mae b2b Selectacee and Urma b2b Jaz Imsky.
