In Photos: JägerHaus at All Points East 2018

All Points East is the new London festival bringing blockbuster names to Victoria Park in East London this summer.

Besides heavyweights like Björk, Nick Cave, Popcaan, LCD Soundsystem appearing across their main stages, the event boasted an impressive electronic line-up and a clutch of smaller names. Some of these performed at the JägerHaus. Situated between the two main stages, a bill of live acts and DJs ware playing across the two APE weekends. With a weighty soundsystem for DJs and a DIY-style space for live acts, the hideaway offered a boozy alternative to the main programme.

Crack Magazine were there for the entirety of the first weekend, snapping portraits of the Haus’ performers after their sets. Bill Brewster provided an encyclopaedic joyride through feel-good classics, Tiffany Calver brought a pin-drop on future-facing grime and bass and Manchester’s Finn further proved that his Local Action cut Sometimes the Going Gets a Little Tough should be mandatory listening at any festival.

On the live front, Vessels still sound as ferocious as they did when they first emerged, the effortless soul of Aadae felt destined for bigger crowds and South East London’s Joel Culpepper delivers vocals as strong live as in his addictive COLORS session.

A hub of emerging talent and carefree partying, the JägerHaus continues this weekend (1-3 June) with DJ sets from Warpaint, Simone Marie and Shame alongside live sets from The Big Moon, Club Kuru and Superfood.
