Welcome back to Selections, a series of artist-curated playlists from those in the know.

There’s a dreamy emotive cinematism to Canty’s music, which makes their Selections playlist theme centred around imagined B-movie end credits music feel especially fitting.

Last year saw the east London-based singer and multi-instrumentalist release their debut EP, Boyfriend/Girlfriend; a wistfully romantic trio of tracks offering a blend of incandescent pop and reverberant indie.

Next month, Canty brings their swooning pop incantations to the tenth anniversary edition of Simple Things Festival in Bristol. Ahead of this, they curate an atmospheric playlist which they describe as “music from the final scenes and closing credits of B-movies dreamed or imagined”. Delve into the playlist below featuring Beverly Glenn-Copeland, Daniel Johnston, Billie Holiday and more.
