Over the second half of April, The Roundhouse invited the likes of Tirzah, Joe Armon-Jones and Jlin to play its flagship event series.

From April 18 to April 27, historic North London venue The Roundhouse held the seventh edition of its flagship event series In The Round Festival.

A host of talent was invited to perform, with headline shows coming from Joe Armon-Jones of Ezra Collective, Tirzah, and Chicago boundary pusher Jlin.

In The Round’s sold-out opening night featured a special tribute to Joni Mitchell. The Songs of Joni Mitchell – a selection of the Canadian-American icon’s greatest hits – were performed by Emeli Sandé, Bombay Bicycle Club, Kate Stables (This Is The Kit) among others, curated by Lail Arad and hosted by Cerys Matthews.

It featured a diverse array of performers across the nine dates, with the likes of Vashti Bunyan, Lucy Rose, Samara Joy, Lonnie Holley and Matana Roberts also playing, while Gwenno joined Paraorchestra, Brett Anderson and Charles Hazlewood to perform Death Songbook – an anthology of music about death from artists including David Bowie and Echo and the Bunnymen.

Take a look at some of the best moments and performances in the photographs below.
