Last month, the sixth Brussels edition of Nuits Sonores took place.

Organised in collaboration with European Lab, from 12 to 15 October the festival saw performances from a wealth of both local and international artists – including Richie Hawtin, Amnesia Scanner, HAAi, DJ Gigola and Caterina Barbieri – across various venues in the Belgian capital.

The latest instalment of the electronic and contemporary music festival also hosted label takeovers from PAN – which is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year – and Lisbon’s Príncipe. As part of the festival, European Lab held an extensive two-day programme of discussions exploring media independence across the European scene, featuring the likes of Refuge Worldwide and Belgium’s webradio station Microwave.
