Returning to the Parc del Fòrum for its 22nd edition, the festival’s flagship event once again vindicated its position as a staple of the European festival season.

Tucked away in an enclave on the northeastern edge of Barcelona is the expansive Parc del Fòrum. Identifiable from afar by its impressive spread of solar panels, each year the open concrete space transforms into a destination for musical lovers of all stripes, as Primavera Sound touches down on its home turf.

With now expanded editions in Porto, Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Asunción, Montevideo and Benidorm, Primavera’s Barcelona homecoming remains its flagship event and most circled event in the calendar. With over 200,000 people passing through its gates over the course of the weekend, it has become one of the most important festivals in the festival calendar,

This year’s offering, which took place between 29 May and 2 June, was diverse as ever, headlined by Lana Del Rey, Pulp and SZA, while the likes of FKA Twigs, Mitski, A.G. Cook. PJ Harvey, billy woods, Sega Bodega and Sofia Kourtesis provided other standout moments.
