Welcome back to Selections, a series of artist-curated playlists from those in the know.

Weaving between techno, trance and more, Anetha‘s high-energy sets are packed with bouncy basslines, pounding kickdrums and soaring melodies. Her touring schedule is just as relentless – especially during festival season – and the French DJ shows no sign of slowing down. Yet within her work, themes of community, nature, sustainability and a slower approach to creativity are ever-present. They shape not only her own music – especially on her 2024 album Mothearth – but also the releases on her label, Mama Told Ya, and its eco-conscious sister agency, Mama Loves Ya.

Ahead of her performance at Barcelona’s Brunch Electronik, Anetha reminisces on a summer of music with a handful of tracks that reflect her own high-energy sets and approach to life. “I’ve picked 15 tracks that feel organic and full of life, sometimes real, sometimes a bit surreal, always full of spirit,” she says. “They’re also some of the last tracks I played at my recent gigs. They’ve been with me on the road, in clubs, at festivals. I wanted to bring that same energy here.”

Anetha will play Brunch Electronik Festival, which takes place from 7-10 August in Barcelona
