Listen to a buoyant, groovy playlist from Carlita

Today’s Selections comes from Carlita, the Turkish-Italian DJ, producer and classically trained multi-instrumentalist who’s no stranger to the intricacies of a proper good playlist. Carlita has previously discussed, you see, the role that playlist building well, played in her leap from musician to world-touring DJ – the detail and attention she put into crafting them for others not too dissimilar to the formula she follows while preparing (and playing) a club set.

This Friday (7 July), Carlita will head to the monumental Petrovaradin Fortress in the northern Serbian city of Novi Sad for this year’s EXIT Festival, where she’ll practise this approach in real time, sweeping the festival crowd along in her vibrant whirlwind as she goes.

“This playlist is a mixture of lots of tracks I have been really enjoying this year and playing in my sets recently,” Carlita tells us of her playlist, which showcases her penchant for buoyant, groove-orientated club sounds. “It’s a mix of new and older tracks with some amazing artists and producers, and I really hope you enjoy it. I’m so excited to finally play at EXIT Festival after watching so many videos from the festival over the years. It’s a great honour to be playing the closing set and I can’t wait to connect with the crowd there and create some amazing memories.” Hit play.
