Listen to a playlist of boundary-defying club tracks, selected by Nico Adomako
Welcome back to Selections, a series of artist-curated playlists from those in the know.
Nico Adomako is a Berlin-based multidisciplinary artist, DJ, curator and programmer, whose work spans music, performance and cultural curation. As co-founder of the Ghanaian online radio station Oroko Radio and the Berlin-based DJ collective Einhundert, Adomako has been at the forefront of producing events, club nights and exhibitions across major cultural hubs, including Berlin, London, New York, Hong Kong, Accra, Tokyo, Amsterdam and Paris.
This weekend, Einhundert presents CODE.SWITCH – a three-day program in Berlin featuring artists such as Toumba, Luchuga Zafiro and Dis Fig. The event revolves around the intertwined elements of sound, silence and movement, ultimately exploring the clubbing experience itself.
Ahead of the event, Adomako curates a playlist of boundary-defying club music that aligns with the ethos of Einhundert and the CODE.SWITCH club series. “This playlist traces the moods and movements that inspired CODE.SWITCH – music that lives between codes, where translation becomes texture and rhythm becomes language,” he explains. “Not fixed, but constantly shifting.”
