BOYA
Despite having only a few releases to his name, Dublin producer Boya is gathering momentum, with a recent feature on DIY cassette imprint Opal Tapes preceding his latest, shimmering offering for prolific New York label/party Mister Saturday Night. Generating radio plays from the likes of Ben UFO, the MSN release in question features Idler, a rough edged melodic track where heavy synths meet satisfyingly gravelly percussion. With such coarse-hewn production in key with former releases on MSN from the likes of fellow Dubliner Lumigraph, his first EP is a promising glimpse of what Boya’s capable of.
