Shape Platform has announced a showcase at Gamma Festival 2019.

The initiative will see a dozen European artists play in Russia for the first time, as part of the boundary expanding aims of the SHAPE and Gamma Festival collaboration. SHAPE will bring acts, such as Rádio Quântica co-founder Violet, cellist Lucy Railton and DUNNO Recordings’ Lutto Lento, to the event.

JESSE, Marta SmiLga, Myako, Schtu, Robert Curgenven, Soho Rezanejaz and Bear Bones, performer Michela Pelusio, and Lay Low will also feature on the line-up. Gamma Festival will run on 11-14 July, with its line-up set to be spread across 10 stages in four different locations of Saint Petersburg.

SHAPE is run annually through a union of 16 festivals and art centres. Supported by the “Creative Europe” programme of the European Union, the project is dedicated to promoting emerging acts, interdisciplinary co-operation and creative experimentation.

In December SHAPE announced its full roster of 48 artists and musicians for 2019, which in addition to those selected for Gamma includes Peach, Sentimental Rave, French Rinse FM host AZF and more.
