Violet’s first album will drop via Dark Entries on 19 September.

Lisbon based producer Violet (aka Inês Borges Coutinho) will release her debut LP Bed of Roses on 19 September via the San Francisco label Dark Entries. The album will span from techno, trip-hop and ambient and its title comes from the Bon Jovi track of the same name – a song the DJ/producer says she loved as a child.

Bed of Roses promises a reflection on the Portuguese producer’s earlier influences and sonic experiences. “I wrote this music as a healing device that I hope can somehow help heal others too,” says Inês Coutinho.

The Portuguese artist is known for her label Naive and for founding the online station Rádio Quântica, a platform dedicated to promoting underground Portuguese music. Earlier this year she also put out a 12-inch on Paraíso, another Lisbon-based house label.
