Love International and Test Pressing have launched a new zine

“This zine is a homage to our festival, the ever-growing team and a lot of the things we have been missing.”

Love International has teamed up with Test Pressing on a 52-page zine. Entitled FAN:ZIN, the new publication follows a collaborative label, LIXTP, which was launched by the two organisations earlier this year. LIXTP was inaugurated by a four-track release from Berlin-based artist Fantastic Man.

FAN:ZIN 001 features contributions from Love International regulars and familiar faces such as Palms Trax, Hodge, Midland and Heidi Lawden. 50% of profits from the sale of the zine will be donated to Solidarna, a Croatia-based foundation for human rights and solidarity. The first issue was designed by multidisciplinary designer Indiana Lawrence.

“We’ve been discussing how we keep what we love doing alive and in focus whilst we (basically) can’t do it and we decided to reach out to people we know, the DJs and producers who make what we do special, and ask them to get involved,” explain the Love International team in a statement. “Tisno, our festival home in Croatia, features heavily as does some tips on navigating lockdown and lots more.”

FAN:ZIN 001 is available to purchase now from Love International’s Bandcamp page. Those who pick up a copy will also receive a postcard (“to send to a friend you were meant to be in Tisno with”), stickers and a pencil.

Back in May, Love International was forced to postpone its fifth edition for a second year due to Covid travel restrictions. The festival was scheduled to take place this month, however it has now been pushed back to 13-19 July 2022.
