Last August, the rapper revealed that he was working on new music. He also announced that his new album is set to be his final LP for Top Dawg Entertainment. “I feel joy to have been a part of such a cultural imprint after 17 years,” Lamar wrote. “The Struggles. The Success. And most importantly, the Brotherhood. May the Most High continue to use Top Dawg as a vessel for candid creators. As I continue to pursue my life’s calling.”
Lamar is set to perform tracks from the new album at Milano Summer Festival on 23 June. He’s also been confirmed for his Glastonbury debut that same month.
Earlier this year, in January, Lamar also revealed that he’s teaming up with Dave Free and South Park’s Matt Stone and Trey Parker to produce an untitled comedy. Vernon Chatman is writing the script. The comedy will be produced by pgLang, as well as Park County and Paramount Pictures.
